4:08 finish, 42/70 place overall. Just like the one other time I did this marathon in 2018, this was meant as an extra-long training run rather than a real race - intentionally not going for a fast time. I would have needed at a least 20 miler anyway in my normal training cycle, and with most of the usual routes covered in ice and snow, this was a nice way to get it done on a cleared and supported course. It's a very small race and nothing exciting (eight loops around Eisenhower Park in the cold), but it's fine for what it is. Slower than usual finish time as planned.
Welcome! This blog gives a summary of each marathon with finish time/place, course info, conditions, and links to performance data and travel photos. There are also separate pages listing marathons in different countries/continents, states, and Canadian provinces as well as general info about my running background, frequently asked questions, and advice for anyone looking to start running or exercising more. This blog is linked on my Facebook page, but I'm very rarely on social media otherwise.

Marathon #161 (sub-four state #44, second round state #37): Las Cruces Marathon, NM
3:44 finish, 23/168 place overall. Nice small race based in Las Cruces in south-central New Mexico. Fairly scenic course running aside the Rio Grande with views of the nearby Organ Mountains. A little bit of altitude (around 4,000 feet), but with good weather and a flat course I still managed a solid sub-four finish.
