3:45 finish, 37/131 place overall.
Nice small marathon in the northwestern Black Hills of South Dakota and a little of eastern Wyoming. It starts deep in the national forest at a little over 6,000 feet and runs mostly downhill through the scenic Spearfish Canyon to the finish in the small town of Spearfish, SD.
Even with the high elevation, the downhill course and good weather helped make it one of my faster finishes and get SD done under four hours as needed.
